SUCCESS STORIES!

Jacob Williams

Jacob, a Dubuque Dream Center (DDC) Alumni, is one of the original students of the Dream Center (2013-14) and participated in the DDC 2014-2024 through his senior year. This humble and kind young man now mentors other students.

The honors and accolades: Jacob was named Mississippi Division Player of the Year (by the MVC), MVC Player of the Year 2024, TH Player of the Year, named as a 4A Second-Team All-Stater (by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association), named to the 4A Substate 5 Honor Team (by Iowa Basketball Coaches Association), and named to the First-Team All-Conference!

During his school years, he not only excelled athletically and academically, but he also shined musically: he played violin (beginning in third grade)!

He will be attending and playing basketball for the University of Dubuque in the fall of 2024.

The Dream Center meant everything to me,” Williams said. “It built brotherhood. We had good coaches that respected us and just wanted us to do well, on the court and off of it. I did well freshman year solely because of all the experience I had with the Dream Center. That really helped give me a good head start heading into high school.”
